ZGLaw’s Jorge Melo recognized as one of the stand-out practitioners in Litigation by Who’s Who Legal (WWL)

With a developing legal industry, finding the best in various domains of the legal profession has become a necessary practice for in-house counsel and general counsel. Who’s Who Legal (WWL) is an independent research led by Law Business Research Ltd., which identifies over 23,000 of the world’s leading lawyers and experts in more than a hundred jurisdictions and various practice areas.

In the area of Litigation, WWL recognized Zambrano Gruba Caganda & Advincula (ZGLaw)’s  very own Jorge Alfonso Melo as one of the stand-out practitioners for 2018. Naming him as one of the Most Highly Regarded lawyers in Asia-Pacific, he was described as, “a trial litigator with significant expertise in subjects such as special proceedings, civil actions and discovery”. WWL’s publication likewise remarked that he was well regarded in his expertise, with one source describing him as “excellent” in his practice.

Melo leads the litigation and dispute resolution practice of the firm, successfully representing clients in various major litigation matters before the Court of Tax Appeals, Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court.

The named individuals on the list, recommended by private practice experts and client sources, are practitioners in the litigation field aged 45 years or younger who, in their young age, are already recognized for their innovative and outstanding work. Among the other lawyers recognized in the list is Wendy Lin from Wong Partnership LLP, Singapore, which is a member of WongPartnership Group (WPG), the regional network group wherein ZGLaw is also a member.
